"What if my kids won't cooperate?"

Perfect. That's my favorite shot. Nothing here requires anyone to hold still and smile — the running-away pictures are usually the ones that end up framed. Exhibit A, B, and C, all shot mid-escape:

Yes, a literal geek. With a camera.

It started with photographing my wife and daughter in the fall colors, then landscapes in the high country. Then friends asked me to shoot their weddings — and watching people light up when they saw their photos that same night… I was hooked.

A Geek & His Camera is me offering that back to Denver — I run tech companies by day, and this is the hobby that got out of hand: professional-camera photos without the professional-photoshoot experience. No stress, no stiffness, no invoice surprise. Bring your people, your dog, your car — I'll bring the camera and keep it fun.

No editing — are the photos actually good?
That's the craft: shooting carefully enough — light, timing, framing — that photos don't need rescuing. Everything on this page is straight out of the camera; that's exactly what you'd get. If a shot's a dud (eyes closed, photobomb), it still comes to you — you delete, you decide.
How do I get every photo "on the spot"?
Before we part ways, the full-resolution files transfer straight to your phone, drive, or a link — usually while we chat in the car. You walk away owning every frame. Nothing held back, nothing extra to buy.
Can I print these? How big?
Huge. 42 megapixels prints beautifully past poster size. The files are yours, full resolution, no watermarks — print, post, frame, whatever you like.
Do you do posed, formal sessions?
Honestly? That's not us — and Denver has wonderful photographers for the rigid, styled, big-production thing. We do natural: good light, real moments, people being themselves. If that sounds like relief, we'll get along great.
